Village Allotments Update (updated 8 March 2010)

The Allotments Sub-Committee is working hard to ensure that everyone will be able to start work on their allotments this Spring.

  • We hope to install the water troughs within the next week or so with Thames Water Utilities inspection and then connection to the water main to take place shortly afterwards.

  • The lease agreement is due to be received from the landowner by the end of this week which will then be reviewed at the next Council meeting (Monday 15 March).

  • A decision is due from West Oxfordshire District Council on the car park and fence, within the next week.

Work to be done:-

  • Marking out the plots using pegs.

  • Approval of the allotment tenancy agreement by the Council.

  • Creation of the car park (subject to WODC approval).

All plots have now been allocated - please contact the Clerk if you wish to add your name to the waiting list.
