Information: The Society for the Protection of Minster Lovell was formed in the mid 1990’s to give residents a united voice regarding applications for developments in the village.

The Society is not against all developments, we appreciate that some will happen. However, large developments which will urbanise the area and encroach into and around the village need to be addressed to protect the village.

Membership of the Society is £5.00 annually. Please contact the secretary or chairperson if you wish to join. These funds are used to help offset printing costs, posters etc.

The Playgroup is located behind St. Kenelm’s School.

We are open five days a week, 9-12 midday and take children from 2-5 years old.  We serve the local area and surrounding villages.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, received an outstanding Ofsted Report in 2009.

There are four members of staff and we welcome parent helpers.

The Playgroup will support children with special needs and/or learning difficulties.

We will be operating from a new portable building from September 2012 which we worked hard to achieve via fund raising and various grants.

We meet most Wednesdays at 6.30 p.m. at Rose Cottage, and at other times during the week in various places.

 

The Lighthouse Church, part of Church Of the Nations International, is based in a home in Old Minster Lovell. We want to share the love of God, to build community and allow Jesus to change lives.

 

Our church meetings are informal, family times and include sharing a meal singing, prayer and teaching from the Bible in a way that is relevant to our daily lives.

Welcome Circle - Held on the second and forth Wednesday of each month.  2.00-3.30pm when invited speakers share their knowledge and experiences.

Information: Minster Lovell Playing Field Trust is responsible for the play area, tennis court and car park to the rear of St Kenelm's Hall.  The purpose of the Trust is to provide a recreational amenity for children and young people of the Village, which includes a small play area for younger children and the facility to play tennis and basketball.  Car parking facilities for St.Kenelm's Hall are also provided.  Four Trustees administer the Trust which is registered with the Charity Commission - two appointed by the Parish Council and two appointed by the Parochial Church Council.
